Fringe

A hot new Sci-Fi series from Fox. Available in SD or Fox 720p. Some European stations may broadcast the HD version in their own format or upscale the SD version to HD. A show by JJ abrams. Also some writers of Transformers will be involved.

Hmmm I actually saw the PreAir DVD, so I guess the pilot will be or (if already aired) will be a little different, it's good but not wow, I was expecting better from JJ Abrams. Actually i'm totally waiting for the air of Eureka season 3 on Scifi, but it's starting only on July 29th..
Anyway, last week I discovered "WipeOut" it's on NBC, it's a dumb show like japanese one and the guys must go throught obstacles, it's pretty funny...

Fringe will debut on September 9th with a 2 hour premier in the USA. Some foreign networks may not carry the 2 hour premier. After that the show will be an hour long.

I mean, a regular show is 42min long, it means you have 18min of add ! here there's one cut of ads at every episode and it's 4min long.. damn 18Min ! I already watched american tv during a show..and damn..it's too much for me !

You just get used to it. I have watched commercial free programming. It's called HBO and PBS. Also we have channels on demand which is nice. You can buy movies or some premium channels have an on demand one. Our cableco has a bunch of VOD channels of various ones and there is maybe 1 commercial or 2 but it's nice. Plus our cableco has their version of a TiVo.

Oh okay Smile

didn't remember that HBO Was commercial free..I loved Six Feet Under and Rome so much.. too bad now it's Showtime that makes more quality shows than HBO since The Sopranos have been cancelled.

Fringe is debuting in the USA with limited commercial interruptions on Fox. This episode is the pilot but will not be the one that was leaked. The leaked version wasn't the actual pilot. It had music from Lost and other JJ abrams shows. The Final version has a unique soundtrack.

Yop, because the leaked one was a Pre-Air..most of the times it has some different shots, soundtracks or characters..

I remember watching the Pre-Air pilot of Heroes and it was totally different of the aired one Smile

Was only 1 Hr 35 minutes after the commercial breaks. There wasn't as many and they were quick. They showed what the next season was. No lost music. It's like a good version of the X-Files. I really did seem to enjoy it in HD. It's a nice show if you like that sort of show. Anna Torv is quite attractive Smile. Just some ramblings with no spoilers.

Next year more new episodes. It will be after American Idol in my country. They should move American Idol to My Network rather than Fox. My Network is made for American Idol. Fox is the network that airs Fringe and American Idol. Of course NBC is having Jay Leno have a show weeknights at 10 PM next year. It's to save on primetime costs. They should have given that hour to the affiliates that could then air Local news at 10 to 11 PM. Fox, CW, and MNTV affiliates air their news at 10PM PT/ET or 9PM CT/MT.

Fringe is a keeper according to Fox. He says that RemoteFree TV is working out. It does take a little more production work since it's a longer ep. The commercials. RemoteFree TV is nice since you have more episode and half the commericals. Europeans who are used to their way of showing commercials get more show so it's a win win situation. Advertisers are fine but on RemoteFree TV shows they pay a premium to advertise on them due to it having half the commercials. Dollhouse will also be RemoteFree TV.

Just because Kevin Reilly thinks it's a keeper doesn't mean it's been renewed for a 2nd season. I think towards the end of the season it will be renewed.

Fringe is going to Canada for Season 2. Filming it there will make it cheaper. If the ratings continue to be good, it will most certainly be renewed. It could mean the end of Fringe but thats not likely. Kevin Reilly will probably renew it for Season 2. The same might not be said for Dollhouse.

I hear Fringe will be returning on Fox on 4.7.09. 7 episodes will air to finish up season 1. Expect some announcements on May 18th. Thats when Fox will have it's major press conference. That will mean which shows will stay or others go to the chopping block.

The secret of the Fringe closing plates. Only the American version has the plates but it's a fun read.

So Leonard Nimoy will be in the season Finale. This episode was pretty good except American Idiots decided to air a little longer than expected.

Great site and it has the ending of the current EP. Don't view that if you don't like spoilers Tongue. If you've watched the episode then it's fine by me. The observer is in all kinds of shows including American Idiots err Idol.

Remote Free TV has officially been canceled. Fringe will return but with more commercials due to remote free TV being canceled. That means shorter episodes for all you Europeans.

Fringe is doing ok but not as good as CSI, and Grey's anatomy. I think it's enough to warrant a 3rd season. Fox has ordered another JJ Abrams pilot. This time it's a 30 minute Medical comedy show. Probably shorter minus the commercials. This means Fringe is likely safe. In Season 3 we'll see more of the next dimension. Last weeks episode was pretty awesome. It's scary but an awesome show. Even better is Anna Torv Laughing out loud!

Fringe was renewed for Season 3 though it's old news. Fox must be patient and they too like Fringe.
