Dollhouse

It's not a bad show but could be better. Fringe is of course better Smile. It has Eliza Dushku and it's about characters called the Dolls. The Dolls can have their memories erased. This show is made by Joss Whedon which has made shows such as Buffy the Vampire slayer and the failed Firefly. He has a 5 year plan for this show but good luck to him. This show will likely be canceled before it reaches the 5th year.

The promo for it.

Yeah i think it won't last very long... but I'd like to see more from Dr Horrible, the other Joss Whedon project with Neil Patrick Harris Laughing out loud

It's doing well on itunes but on broadcast TV it's not doing so well. I still think it will last no more than 2 seasons if Fox decides to renew it. This 5 year plan is a marketing thing. Joss knows that it will get canceled within it's 2nd season.

According to Eliza Dushku episode 6 is where the series will start to pick up and thats when Fox will let Joss Whedon be Joss Whedon. I hope episodes 6 to 13 will be much better. Season 1 which has 13 episodes has already been shot so Fox can air them and then if they need to cancel it they can cancel it after it's done airing all those episodes.

Quote:
AVC: It isn’t like Joss is some new kid on the block, though. He has a lot of shows under his belt, and he’s got this large cult following. Is it frustrating when you get that kind of feedback?

ED: Honestly, yes. I understand it from a business perspective, and from Fox’s view, but at the same time, we’ve now done 13 episodes, and people have said that the show took off once they finally realized that Joss is best off left alone to do his thing. That happens around episode six—six through 13 are just extraordinary. I love one, two, three, four, and five, but Joss’ first script that he did after the pilot is number six, which is called “Man On The Street,” and it is just unbelievable. From that point on, the world unfolds in Joss’ way, with Joss’ speed, and it’s really remarkable.

AVC: Are you biting your nails in the interim? There are still a few more weeks before that episode airs.

ED: I think it’s going to be important for Fox and for us to really push that message. Every show needs time to grow, and it’s really difficult to set up a show, especially one with such a complicated, complex premise, that’s so multi-dimensional. We wanted—and Fox also wanted—the first six episodes to be episodes people could pick up and understand what was going on even if they were late getting to the party, which I agree with. So the first six episodes are more self-contained. But once we sort of hit that place where the show takes off, I think it’s going to be important to send some screener copies back out there to some of the reviewers that maybe didn’t jump on board the first time around, or some of the diehard Joss fans that felt they were missing his voice in some of the first shows. Because his voice is back, and it’s loud, and it’s as exciting as ever once we get rolling.

It's too early to tell when Dollhouse will be canceled according to Kevin Reilly. Same with Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Dollhouse has been consistent ratings wise. If it picks up and stays there then it will be renewed.

This week will be a special week for Dollhouse. Why is it so important. It's the 6th episode of the season. This is the episode where Joss Whedon well, becomes Joss Whedon. As for the 5 year plan then well thats BS. The much beloved Firefly had a 7 year plan and look where that went.

Don't give up on Dollhouse yet. Fox might renew it if it's steady and gets good Friday Night ratings. TSCC will end it's 2nd season so Prison Break will be Dollhouse's lead in. The 5 year plan is BS. Joss Whedon gave Firefly a 7 year plan but look where that turned out. At the very least Fox will air all 13 episodes since it's already been done. Plus Fox has purchased season 1 so it might be hard to not air all episodes. Why would Fox want to not finish a completed product. I hear the 2nd season will start filming sometime this year. Dollhouse could be a midseason replacement or another midseason show. We will see what Fox will do.

So these are the remaining episodes of Dollhouse. However it might be canceled after that. If they continue to drop then Fox will cancel it no matter how many times Kevin Reilly want's to renew it.

Only 12 episodes of Dollhouse in America. Your country might all 13. The 13th episode could be a season 2 episode or be a DVD extra. EP. 13 is called Epitaph One so the last episode of each season would be called Epitaph. Or they could delay it.

The US region 1 date for the Dollhouse DVD set is 7.28.09. Hope this helps.

Oh and there will be some nice extras in the DVD set. The original unaired pilot and some unseen footage will be on it. Plus they will put Episode 13 aka Epitaph One in it.

Interview with Joss Whedon. Shows the future prospects of Dollhouse. i hope it does get a 2nd season since I'm really starting to like it. It's a very different show for me but I like it. Your country might actually air the 13th episode. Joss Whedon is negotiating with Fox to air that episode a week after the Prison Break finale which really isn't since there are 2 episodes that Fox didn't air that will go on DVD.

Dollhouse is likely safe according to some people at Fox. They are working on a deal that will effectively renew it with Remote Free TV. Remote Free TV is that Fox thing that will give it half the commercials so you get more show. Lets hope it gets renewed for Season 2. Terminator:SCC has most likely been terminated. Summer Glau is working on a Movie so yeah.

Dollhouse will get Summer Glau. I wasn't at all surprise when this was announced since we were all predicting that it would happen.

Summer Glau is coming to Dollhouse the day before Halloween. If it gets ok ratings then it can be renewed for Season 3. It's probably cheap enough for an American cable broadcaster to pick up.
