Deejay Stella has been one of the most active producers in recent times, having released multiple compilations under the A.C. Digital Record and Slowild Creation Labels, as well as several self-released ones. From time to time, he produces covers or inedits, making them available on his Soundcloud page. Truly versatile, Deejay Stella produces a wide range of slowstyle tracks using hard sounds with rap vocals, beautiful melodies in his viaggio trips, as well as the occasional experimenting with dubstep components.

With Strange Experiments, Deejay Stella released his third EP under the Slowild Creation label which is owned by Daniele and Viviana Mondello. The EP contains four slowstyle tracks. In Hot Night, Stella creates a unique sound combining a dubstep base with vocals reminiscent of capoeira. Definitely experimental but greatly done. Do You Think Anyway seems to be a rework from the 2011 track Agare released on the Officina Sperimentale (Special Edition) album, a more melodic version over the original. Abbassamento takes us to the harder side of slowstyle, and Nervo Soffiato nicely rounds it up with a faster (128 bpm), more aggressive sound.

Considering the label, which is known for bringing out new sounds, this release does not disappoint. Deejay Stella takes a big step away from his typical sounds as we know it and confidently moves into new musical territory. It is a solid release and a must have for today’s slowstyle listeners.
