I'm a french man of italodance!

Hello,

I'm a big french fan of italodance, from the beginning (1999/2000). I'm happy to have found this website. I knew other websites about italodance but they didn't exist today... I can improve my english with this site! lol

I like always italodance but I'm nostalgic of italodance of the beginning. I have the impression that all tracks created now are similar : a melody + vocal of a man. Do you agree with me??

There are no more (or fast no more) oriental tracks, tracks diffrently constructed, with different noise,... Why???

Thank you

Salut à toi !
Heureux de voir un compatriote !

Indeed Italodance changed quite a lot..and it's not as big as before.
But the people on the forum have been trying really hard to change that, they actually made a compilation of real quality tracks and it's called "IDP Compilation". Check vol.1 & 2 !

Hi benjiasm, welcome to IDP!

not many French here on the forums which is a pity Smile

I also enjoy the 2000-styled italo very much.

I don't agree that all tracks are similar, today italodance is much more diverse than it was around year 2000 since you got the harder HDS styles, slowstyle/lento violento, the retro 2000-style and of course the classic nu-italo style. Oh and there are plenty of female singers on there too, just listen Gigi D'Agostino for instance Smile

I'm not sure what you mean about "oriental tracks", can you give us an example?

I like  few tracks of lento style but in a general way, I find it's too slow...  What is nu-italo style? Otherwise I like louder bass, as italomaranza style. I would like precise too, that lots of tracks today are with a singer (essentialy man, what I said in the first post). I like lots of tracks with a singer but before, there was tracks without singer too, and some were awesome! Today, I have the impression that there is fast only tracks with singer. And it's a pity...

For the "oriental tracks", I speak about tracks with an oriental melody. I find these tracks awesome! There was a lot in the beginning of the 2000's, and very rare today...

I think of (not exhaustive) : Markus "Ce soir" and "Lord of Arabia", Sharan "Dream of Algeri", Unconditionnal "Magic Fett", Sandro Bit "Euphoria", Radio Sonic "La revolution", Snake "Belly dance", and many more...

Ah okay, I think that the oriental theme is cool too, could be fun to have more tracks with that, there are very few as far as I know Smile

DJ sTore made a few "oriental" remixes, for instance of something as weird as Technoboy - Rage
