Interview with LUCA ZETA - 19th October 2006

When and why did you begin to produce music?
I start my career as singer when I was very very young (6 years old) but I published my first record in 1993. Right in the nineties I published some records but the real career as artist/producer started in 2000 with "With You" and then "I'll Be Good To You".

What music styles are you listening to other than what you produce?
For work and for passion I listen all styles of music. I think the music is the better language of the human soul. Obviously there are some styles of music that don't transmit me emotions so I can't say that I love all styles of music. Shortly I can say that I love very much good melodies but also strong rhythms.

Who is/are you favorite artist(s)?
Since when I was teen-ager I'm a big fan of an Italian pop music artist: Renato Zero. I love his music, his fantasy, his theatricality and the messages of his songs. In the dance music context I have many favourite artists but also many friends so I don't wanna say some names to don't deceive someone. I can say that I like all real artists with real talent.

What do you think is the future for Italo Dance music?
About the situation in Italy, I think that people is getting bored to listen the same style of music. There was someone (of stupid) that thought Italodance was died but we can see that electro music is goin' down and the monopoly of house music can't last too long yet. People need melodies and emotions again so I hope in a rebirth. In the world Italomusic is always in the heart of many people. I see it when I read the international web charts and when I do my performance out of Italy. Fashion pass, good music will never die!

What do you like to do on your spare time?
I have very little spare time because I'm always busy creating music, composing new songs, making remixes. By the way I love spend time with my friends. I think friendship is the most important treasure that life can offer us.

What are your plans for the future? style, project etc.
I have always many ideas so be ready for many projects signed by Luca Zeta. I think that I'll continue to follow my style of music because I love dance music and I need music that transmit me emotions. By the way, I love very much hands up music so I will insert in my records some versions in this style.
