I guess the same thing can be said about italodance, but the article is only about trance.
He doesn't bring much reflection or perspective into his thoughts, most of it is basic knowledge most of us figured out long ago, and last but not least he doesn't come up with any solution - so all in all not so good an article imo. Wink

Elektro House was going over Trance also for 2 or 3 causes, imo:

Firstly, the Elektro House sound had a more dancefloor suitable sound (meaning the basslines and the sound) than Trance music, which I'll always like, but isn't really suitable on a club. Then, the Trance productions had, with the time, melodies always less catchier (also because they was pretty the same)
Then, another cause of the fall of Trance (and I'm pretty sure that even Elektro House is doing now, at least in Italy, being replaced again with more catchy melodies even if ain't Trance at all) was the abuse of the same library of samples and sounds: nowdays Vengeance Sample CDs and Nexus are a must for every producer (including me), when yesterday they wasn't needen at all: every producer used their talent.

Chris, Italodance had always something to share with Trance, because it's even born by Trance (infact it's born by Progressive Techno, which is a sub-genre of Trance)

I know.. Except there is the difference that dance music is way more suited on a dancefloor, and imo. just as suited as electro-house, than trance.

Meeh, long article x''D

Electro house killed trance because... it was time for something new! As time goes on music changes, new genres are created and old ones get replaced. It's the way it's always been & how it always will be. Electro house will probably be developed into something new and "killed" somewhere in the near future too Laughing out loud

But fortunately (!!! Laughing out loud) genres don't really die! All you need to do is just go back in time... Wink
