You can hear here how the kick is far from the bass so it don't sound muddy.

yeah... bass far from kick... is it sidechain? right?
kick bass kick bass (equal parts).....or bass goes little earler?
No is not sidechain.. there is a lot of attack on the bass so the bass is pretty close to the kick but because of the attack it sounds like is place a bit later but thats the only way to get the wump bass sound.. but thats not the point hehe.
So what you have to do is to eq your kick and bass so they don't have the same frequencies..
I fogot it ;( but i know it now
Th@nk you
p.s.
What you think about this drum section? crap? Or there is something good?
1)I don't use drum-machines...I've a got my own library(with some vengeance samples)
2)Fruity Loops Forever...You can make a nice track with every sequencer and if you're very good you can make it also with audacity(with the VST mod)so why make thing harder using Cubase?
3)VST --> Fruity Filter | VSTi --> reFX Vanguard/z3ta+

You still ask? It is the most full answer in this theme
Thank you from all readers!
Will i think it needs more power.. so some Compressor might help and if you got beatpunch that might help too.. the ride is a bit to high it takes over the kick.. and still the horn synth is to high.
In evenin (night) i'll create new sample by your tips (now i'm studyin music intervals (homework))
p.s.
wft is @beatpunch@? Is it energy of kick?
Maybe show me example of the similar kick? damn i kill your free time. And this time you can use to get new melody for next hit...shame on me
huuuurraaa!!!
I know WTF is punch for kick!
yeah.....crap as usual...
oki...
/workin on sound
Hey, Simps0n, i like your sample, please finish that song, i really like it, sounds a little romantic and the guitarr complements the rockx move, go on buddy :) :)
Is a lot better now.. the kick gives 100 % more power to the song now:)
Who knows can help me:
How this cutted vocal maded? I understand - just cut words by letters and all. BUT: How this letters sounds so nice? By special DISTORSHION? By PITCH? By some SATURATED? Ideas?

As usual, I'm waitin Thomas explainin'. He's good teacher!
Hi,
I think the producer uses Autotune + Some Flitering Effects for the vocals. Hope it helps.
thank you Mike
I had vacations
Now i'm back
I'll create next part of this sample
thank you Thomas for ur tip about "punch for kick"

yeah
I thought about Auto-tune also. But there is some PITCH EFFECT also (imho)
Sure they might use Autotune mainly for the vocal. But it has nothing to do whit that sample. Don't think they have pitch it either is just really really great cutting job...
yeah....sample is well done!
You can use slide to adjust the pitch effect on that vocal, then you can use automation flitering to do the fade in/out effect. Hope that helps.
Here is a sample of how it will sound.
Anyway, it's all up to how you play around with what you know. There is no rigth or wrong way.
Here is a sample of how it will sound.
Thanx CJG
Nice example.
But provenzano (let me be) use some effect also. His voice sample sounds like ringtone with distortion (not clear vocal)
Automation Filtering (Can be found in common studio programs you use, such as SONAR, FL Studio, Cubase etc.)
Just explain, it cuts off either the Low/ Mid/ High Pass. So with automation you can fade the effect in/ out or add a little to make the whole track's bass/ vocals/ drums (Basically any sound) sound different even when you use the same samplers.
For info on Low/ Mid/ High, you can check out your home hi-fi system, most products have them now. Also to different shape the sounds, manufacturers make different speakers to suit each type of signal. Normally the low will produce very low frequency sounds. The high will produce very high signal sounds. And the rest will be produce by the mid.
And "pass" obviously means it by passes the sound signal.
Normally the distortion effect can be produce by taking away the Low of the audio clip or just by adding distortion to it. But for this case, the sampler you uploaded uses filters.
I'm not a professional audio engineer, these are just my personal opinions and methods. I hope you'll find these information useful. There might be other methods, but so far I've proved to you that the Slides do work for pitching vocal tracks. And I'm pretty sure that the Automation Filtering will do the rest.
Sorry I can't produce a clip at this moment to back my theories, have exams coming up + also I’m too lazy to do so. I hope these information will help you find your solution.
And lastly before I sign off, I strongly belief the vocal track has been pre-autotuned before adding those steps I've mentioned earlier.
And lastly, like what the other uses said, you have to cut the track properly and use your creative imagination to do the arrangements.
Cheers and good luck!
Cut this out from a track I'm working on. I've used the automation filtering effects like I mentioned, hope it helps.
thanx CJG
It's complete answer I hope after exams you will answer here also
Of what components consist your DRUMS? Kick, snare (claps), hi-hats... In what sequence you make yours Drumsline? For example: first only kicks or completely for every beat?
I would be absolutely happy, if someone has sent PrintScreen his drums stuff, and has explained it...
Because I am not able to type drums absolutely: (
Sorry can't do that.. It's a secret
HAHAHA
It's fair
Can anyone recommend a good drum kit for making Lento? kick, hat, snare and everything!
For you lucky start whit playing around whit software synth.. A Virus TI cost around 2000 Euro..
Simpson, i can't hear your problem but you might want to turn down the horn synth.. and eq your kick is it gets a lilt harder:)
