I recently made my first purchase and noticed they 'watermark' all their tracks so they can keep guard if somebody shares files downloaded from them in the net. Now, I maybe paranoid but...
Is no one else here, who buys mp3s/wavs from there, afraid of getting into trouble? Cause' if somebody steals your mp3-player or usb-stick with these files and puts them into filesharing programs then it's you who's in deep S**t. Is that the way it goes? Or is it the one who holds the IP address?
I think it's a great site but with all this watermarking, I cant help but feel uncomfortable. I can understand what they want to achieve but the method is wrong. I wanna support these artists and when I don't buy cd-version or can't get it, legal downloading is the only way.
Thoughts? And plz, don't call me a paranoid fool.

first of all you're not a fool but I must say it is a little paranoid.
If someone copies your files and shares them you wont be in trouble at all. As in all cases accuser will have to prove that you made a crime it's not the other way around, you do not have to prove that you didn't share them.
Furthermore accuser will have to prove that a certain ip-address shared certain files and to do that they need to check if a pc on that address contains the files and to obtain access to that pc they need allowance from a judge - which can be obtained only if they have proof enough to say you are the violator. So basically it's impossible for them to get access to your pc because they cant prove that the files are in your posession just by having an IP.
Besides they dont care...
Piracy organisations only go after the big fishes making money on it.. not ordinary guys like you and me.
